The Pro Series underfloor heating cable is an installers dream! There is only one cold tail. One cold tail is much easier to draw up the wall to the thermostat mount. One cold tail also means planning of the cable layout is much easier. The cable plan does not need an even number of runs. The cable plan does not need a return route for the second cold tail!
The Pro Series installer dream continues! The cable has been designed to be 10W per lineal meter. Figuring out the spacing between cables is now very easy! You need 150W/m2? 15 lengths per meter is required. You need 180W/m2? 18 lengths per meter is required. Yes! Divide the Watts per square meter by 10 and you will know how many runs are required.
Due to the twin core, the Pro Series cable is oval. The dimensions of the cable are 1.8mm x 2.7mm. The oval nature of the cable helps the installer. A natural tension is created on the corners when turning the cable for the next run. Less tape to hold down the cable is required!
Both of the cables (twin core) has four resistance elements that are covered by a FEP layer of inner insulation. A copper braid is woven over the the two cables. The copper braid is connected to the earth of the cold tail. The copper braid is then covered with another layer of FEP. The FEP has been modified to ensure that the cable has very little cable memory and is easy to install.
The Pro Series cable is sourced and manufactured in China. Our Chinese supplier is AS9100 and CE certified. The Chinese suppliers quality control is outstanding. They source, manufacture and test every single raw material throughout the manufacturing process. All Pro Series cable is tested and can be tracked back to a batch.
All of the Pro Series cables are sold with two floor probes. One floor probe being the primary, the other being a backup. Both floor probes are 10 kOhm's.
