Siemens RDE20
Heatwell has previously installed many Siemens RDE20 thermostats. They are now very much obsolete. Unfortunately, they have an annoying design feature of leaving the heating on when they break down (called a runaway thermostat). A runaway thermostat must be replaced. The RDE20 also tends to break at the battery holder.
Heatwell no longer carry any parts for the RDE20. Our technicians are no longer able to come and fix any programming issues.
We strongly suggest replacing the RDE20. They are at the end of their life cycle

Any quality electrician will be able to replace an existing underfloor heating thermostat with one of Heatwell's thermostats. If you have an electrician you prefer to use or live outside the Auckland region, talk to them about your thermostat replacement.
